Why am I writing to you?
Because there is a bright feeling inside me that is brimming, and it wants to reach out with kindness to everything that is alive.
Because I wonder how you doing this morning and where you are and what you had for breakfast and what you long for and what you never tell.
Because sadness is lurking at the corner of my eye and sometimes it swooshes over me and the sadness is the underside of love.
Because I want to show you my Buddha who arrived from Nepal and the painting my dad gave me just before he died.
Because the sun has just found a gap in the clouds and it has lit up the veined lime-green spinach and the vivid blue alkanet and it has made the dew into dots of joy.
Because writing is the trail I leave behind me, like beautiful slug-slime.
Because, love.
Go gently,
(& remember that you are loved.)

Thank you all for your lovely comments. Looks like I managed to share the blessings x
The Buddha calligraphy's strength and beauty touches me deeply. I am sure your statue would too. This art will certainly help you in the days ahead, and for a long time to come.
