It’s funny that you mentioned picking up the poo because as I was reading, I was already thinking about the cat litter tray.
When we first got Noodles, I hated dealing with the litter tray. After trying some different types of litter, I found a clumping one that’s like little pieces of rice.
Now every time I clean it, I think about how clever the clumping is and how much easier and tidier it is to use. I also think about panning for gold and zen gardens and it makes me laugh.
Beginning a long trip by air with several flights and stops and all the discomfort that comes with modern air travel, but now I’m going to be asking myself, Can I enjoy this? Thanks for that, Satya!
Satya, you had me at hello, but you really got me at WISH. I'm becoming rapidly aware of how my problems aren't really my problem, but my preference not to have them is. Thank you for framing this so beautifully and for giving me a four-word question as a way through it. 🙏
Ah, I love this way of seeing things. We're going to have our first hanamatsuri ceremony here at the temple in a couple of weeks - we have our baby Buddha, and I've ordered the ladle to ladle over sweet tea - can't wait!
When I’m meditating and my mind asks “how much longer?” this is what I ask myself. “Can you just sit here with your eyes closed, doing nothing, and enjoy it? It almost always helps me shift.
And if I can get better at enjoying doing nothing, maybe I can also get better at enjoying doing something.
Did you see the movie "Perfect Days"? It seems very much in synch with this sharing.
Oh I LOVED that film. And what a compliment 😊
Thank you as always Satya, so enlightening. I'm enjoying a chuckle too, and looking forward to exploring more in Mindful May with you! xo

Another great post , Satya Robyn! Informative. Thought provoking. And a few giggles (mine).
Giggles are always good ☺️
Thanks for sharing this, Satya. And a great quote to end by Martin Aylward!
My pleasure. Great quote isn’t it! x
Even just putting on socks - can I enjoy this, instead of rushing. Wow. I will be playing with this for a while. Thank you.
Thanks Sam! Enjoy playing : )

Ooh that's a challenging one!!! Hopefully there might be a few bright spots along the way. Take it gently! x

Beautifully put, Kelly. My pleasure.
Such important words. We're always washing the baby Buddha.

Ah yes, so much truth in this. Beautiful, thank you.
Was thinking about you this morning wondering how you are! Synchronicity. Thank you - sending love x

Makes perfect sense. And yes - I’m sure there’s a relationship!! Thanks for being here Dan.
Love, love this and so glad the pictures aren’t of their poo!
Maybe next time 😉 (thank you Paula. Hope you're well!)
Thanks for this Satya. A really good perspective shift and so we'll written.
Thank you! Have a lovely day.
A lovely piece of wise writing, again. Real and helpful.
That’s kind and I am glad 😊
