Oh this sounds like fun!! I'm a farmer and wildlife conservationist, so I already spend lots of time outside reveling in nature. But I've been wanting to read more poetry, had even bought myself one of Mary Oliver's books, which I haven't even touched, so this challenge will give me a push. Looking forward to participating!

Wonderful Samantha. And I wonder if you could put a little portion of that time aside to be in a different way to the way you usually are - sitting silently, or slow meditative walking - something that brings that little bit of time some extra sacredness? Oliver will be the PERFECT companion for you - there's one of hers coming up! Look forward to having you along.

Dude...I'm a farmer and this is my busy season, lol. I get up at 3am to write before the farm needs me for the day, but from 7 to 4 I am busting ass with planting or rotating my flock of sheep on pasture or any number of tasks that I am responsible for as a solo-farmer. Sitting quietly sounds SO nice, but no promises, my friend!!

Wowsers, I am bowing before you in awe 🙏🏻 that's a lot to do solo. Maybe just pausing once for a few seconds between your many tasks!! Or bringing mindfulness to one of the things you do every day... or maybe you're already fully steeped in your relationship with dear Earth and the poems will just be the icing on your already-complete cake. Grateful for your stewardship and care!

Via gardening and meditation, I have fallen madly in love for Earth, too. I am so happy to find others afflicted with this madness and in reverence to her divine beauty. I can't wait for the June series!

So nice to find you here, Satya, and what an absolutely beautiful way to spend a month! Connecting with nature is so accessible, so entirely good for us - yet so easy to overlook in a noisy, busy world! Our family lives on a little homestead in Maine, where nature is an inextricable part our daily life, and where I am constantly, thankfully, amazed by all sorts of life happening around us all the time :) I enjoy sharing photography and stories about my amazement, in hopes of helping others to be amazed, often, too!💕

This isn’t allowing me to read your reply for some reason. Hopefully it is a Substack glitch that will sort itself out soon.

Wonderful!! (and I'm hoping that even if you don't have very much energy at all, you could join us by bowing at the sky once a day...)
