If you haven’t met me properly, I’m Satya and I help people be kinder to themselves. Hello.
I want to be as honest as I can here. For most people, handing over money is a big deal. I like to think of money as congealed energy. Why would you put your energy into my bank account, rather than into the account of an excellent chocolatier, for example, or into a piggy bank for when the roof needs fixing?
I don’t want your money unless subscribing feels good to you. The best kind of purchase is a happy barter. I offer you something you need (stories, courses, wisdom & experience, advice, warmth) and you give me a gift in return. We both end up richer.
What will you receive in return?
I write for free subscribers twice a month about going gently. My offerings for paid subscribers (Supporters) focus on how to go more gently. This includes:
Weekly Monday pieces which will include more personal stories, self-study courses, Love Notes and more.
My whole archive of past materials including self-study courses on mindful writing, IFS and rest, Excellent Questions and more.
Making it possible for everyone to receive my writing. You are supporting those folk who can’t afford to pay & so who receive lower cost or free subscriptions.
How do you know whether becoming a Supporter will offer you those things or not? Well, you won’t know for sure. We’re always taking a little risk when we hand over money or effort or time - whenever we are ordering a meal at a restaurant, or sharing something vulnerable with a friend.
What you can do is get a taste for what I do and then trust your gut. It’ll be a little leap into the unknown - a mini-adventure. An investment in yourself.
If you’re still pondering, maybe pay for one month and see how you find it. Or maybe you’re ready to commit to gentleness and sign up for the year (where did you put your credit card?!):
Whether you are a occasional reader, a free subscriber or a Supporter, I value your attention in this world of voluminous content.
Right now I am sitting at my little desk in the Malvern hills, looking out across the valley. Today Bredon hill is unusually topped with a kiss of snow. Branches of spring blossom are wobbling in the breeze and it is time for me to pause and have my breakfast. Before I go, I offer you a deep bow. Life isn’t always easy, is it? And there is such beauty to be found.
Go gently, my friend.
Satya <3
