Going Gently helps folk who are pushing too hard to ease up & enjoy everything more.
Through hearing about my lifelong tendency to push-myself-too-hard and the antidotes I’ve been delighted to discover, you too will get better at snuggling up closer to yourself, to other beings (furry & non-furry) and to our awesome planet.
You will hear about the magic of Internal Family Systems, the relief of accepting our foolishness & the ‘aha!’ of understanding our hidden motivations. We will approach everything (work, relationship tangles, money…) with gentleness.
A disclaimer: going more gently doesn’t mean shirking our responsibilities in these times of climate crisis and extreme global injustice. I get that you’re probably already juggling a lot of balls (me too). My experience is that if we approach the difficult stuff with gentleness it actually gets easier to show up, give attention to what needs healing inside & outside of us, and prioritise the important things over the clamouring rest.

A paid subscription costs about two cups of coffee (or one bar of good chocolate!) a month, or less if you pay for the whole year.
Who am I? I’ve got twenty years experience as a psychotherapist, and discovering Internal Family Systems totally transformed my therapy practice and my way of seeing the world. I’m a Pure Land Buddhist priest and I’ve run a little Buddhist temple for nine years with my spouse Kaspa (they/them). If you spend time with me you will probably see photos of my dogs (oops, that’s already happened…).
For a taste of my writing, here’s where I interviewed myself, here’s 8 Things I’ve Learnt About Going Gently, and here’s The Goddamn Unpredictability Of It All. I hope my words offer you a smudge of soothing balm. We all need more gentleness, right?
Go gently,
Satya 💚
